National Trust EAv2 Kiosk

The EAv2 kiosk has been designed on the award winning design of the Scream EasyAccess kiosk which has been used by over a dozen Children’s services and SureStart agencies throughout the UK.

The initial EasyAccess kiosk was designed with the Disability Team from Leicester City Council to accommodate both wheelchair and standing users whilst being practical for a child friendly environment. After providing the kiosk for 4 years we have sat down and revised its already successful design. The new design features a streamlined and more dynamic shape, where we have reduced the depth of the kiosk whilst adding a sharper profile. The new kiosk also has rounded edges to make it even safer and child friendly.

To compliment the new design we have also added a larger 19” ELO touch screen that offers a greater multi-media experience. The screen has also been upgraded to a 6mm tempered glass screen that it is robust enough to be used in a high activity environment. The kiosk also includes a backlit keyboard with roller ball. The new style keyboard can therefore be easily used, even in darker environments, and the individual keys are ridged to further increase ease of use.

The computer is a 4.4 AMD 64 bit dual core processor with 1gb of ram and a 80gb hard drive powered by XP Pro to allow it to be installed upon most networks. The computer is secured both by anti-virus software and the full bundle of Sitekiosk. The Sitekiosk software provides a safe environment for the kiosk and offers network/pc security, content filtering, screensavers and configurable menu systems. We even include a full online monitoring package (network restrictions may apply), so that you can access the kiosk online, view statistics and even check on the current content being shown on the kiosk. 

The kiosk is also supported by a full range of services from Scream. These include the design of portal page systems (an extra charge may apply), network consultancy, delivery and installation (including securing the kiosk to the wall or floor) and 12 months support.
